Nuclear plants are less butt ugly than coal stacks, wind farms, and solar farms. There must be fail-safe guards. There must be a way to deal with the spent fuel. France seems to be doing it.

Energy independence would be good. Profits are good, assuming that they are not ill-gotten through fraud or cheating.
