Well, you seem to have forgotten the 25 million Iraqis we freed, the liberation of Lebanon from Syria, the free elections in Palestine, ridding Libya of WMD (as well as Iraq), and what appears to be a general spread of interest in democracy throughout the entire Middle East. I don't call that sick. Americans have always been willing to fight for freedom -- it seems that the current crop of anti-American liberals sees it differently.
