Military expenditures are up, social spending is down.

Unfortunately, at this time in history, my belief is that this is simply the way it has to be.


Yeah...why not spend 10 times as much as China on military...but funny thing...China buys the bonds that fund the deficit spending...so while they spend less on the military they invest the extra money in the US with interest...so when they call their bonds, we will have to pay them too, with interest...and they will use that money to build up their military..and we will be crippled with debt.

But heck, Bush and his buddies will be rich from strangling Uncle Sam, and they can buy property on the Yangzee coast and be protected from terrorism by the Chinese...;^)
