H5N1 is a bird flu virus, not a human flu virus. Most of the human reservoir for SARS CoV was eliminated by death and quarantine. The animal reservoir was reduced by culling of civets in Guangdong and Hong Kong. However SARS CoV will return to infect and kill people. Milder versions are still in animals.
