Well, I do consider that your post was rude. At this thread it is fine to criticize a post, a position, a philosophy, a belief system, political party or public officials. It is not acceptable to criticize or belittle posters themselves. I have been reading about objectivism and libertarianism since I was in college, which was a very long time ago, and consciously rejected these belief systems after mulling them over. I do know quite a lot about libertarian principles, and found your insinuation that I did not demeaning. I'm sensing that you still don't quite understand, since in your last post you refer to the "incredibility of my assertion." Flippancy, arrogance and condescension are not strategies that will get you very far here. I think people can argue robustly about issues and still stay reasonably polite and friendly towards the people expressing them, and I hope you will keep that in mind in writing posts here, because my goal is that this thread to be warm and gentle and fun even when some of us disagree. It is not a harsh or argumentative place.
