In this particular case, as the report from the guardian appointed by Governor Bush shows, the husband and mother were deeply committed to caring for Terri, with the father not involved so much. We can disregard the findings of the 19 judges that looked into it but if we then disregard the findings of independent parties appointed to determine the truth, I think one has to wonder whether we even care about the truth. No amount of cariciature and character assassination can change the fact that all of the independent third parties who have looked into the case found the husband was deeply committed to caring for his wife.
