It can be done, but it is very expensive and you are at the whim of nature...so many days it produces nothing.

The new Wind Generation farms that are popping up in Texas, such as the one near Sweetwater, Tx. are being set on the edge of mesa's, etc...and there always seems to be enough wind to push them.

Turkeys are a metaphor for unfortunate or stupid birds.

The windfarms I've seen have been in passes or ridges with a fairly predictable wind supply.

There's no free lunch.
