That sucks, I am going to have to start keeping track of my rentals to see if they are doing the same thing to me.

I'm on the five at a time program and I have a sneaking suspicion I'm being played for a fool.

They started throttling me two weeks ago as well. Up to then I'd never experienced a problem, and indeed loved Netflix (as a consumer -- not as an investment). While I understand the business thinking behind the practice of throttling, I think it is foolish. Its disingenuous how they go about it, and it will just piss people off. Not just the supposedly "unprofitable" (heavy using) customers like myself. Very foolish business practice, IMO.
