I don't disagree.

But, we have no choice. Children of the poor didn't choose their parents. We can't let them starve. We can't give them everything they want, but we have to prevent suffering - as much as possible. And, we have to be proactive in order to change things. The poor and powerless will need help from the rich and powerful. There is no other way.
