When I retired from SF, I thought about working for the Postal service. I didn't because the friendly body count in that outfit was too high for me.

The Post Office is one of the few bureaucracies that actually works pretty well. That is because it has a simple unambiguous mission, failure is quickly revealed, and it has significant competition from private enterprise.
