I may be very dark and deep but did you even feel a little sweet revenge in seeing Jim Boeheim’s top-flight program unceremoniously bounced from the NCAA by Vermont. Losing to a basketball team from the state with the abbreviated initials ‘VT’ We will think about you in the years to come, Syracuse, as you toil away in the little EAST.

Then seeing two (not one) ACC teams showing up in Syracuse for regional finals. Louisville is going to the little EAST next year 'nest pas". Was it any wonder that they were booing Carolina. I don't like Carolina but it did make me mad to see them booing the ACC team when they had already gotten bounced.

Three Hokies Drafted

Eric Green, Vincent Fuller and Jon Dunn were all drafted by the NFL this past weekend, the 12th year in a row and 17th out of the last 19 that Hokies have been selected in the draft. Green went in Round 3 to Arizona, Fuller went in Round 4 to Tennessee, and Dunn was picked in Round 7 by Cleveland.

Among the Hokies who went unpicked were QB Bryan Randall, DE Jim Davis, OG James Miller, and P Vinnie Burns. Channel 10 out of Roanoke said on their Sunday night 11:00 broadcast that Davis signed a free agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he'll join former Hokie teammates Ernest Wilford and Nick Sorensen. Within the next couple of days, many of the other undrafted Hokies will be signing free agent contracts.
