Maybe you need to emigrate. Looks like your standard may be enforced by the KGB here.
rferl.org

How about this: a long, long time ago- - over 25 years, actually- - in an exotic country known as the United States of America, a new communications medium then known as ARPAnet (soon to be DARPAnet, then NFSnet, the the Word Wide Web) developed. One of the earliest observations made about it was that people were not as polite on it as they were in daily life. It seems there's a difference between facing a keyboard and facing a real live, potentially dangerous human being.

But you seem to want to repeal reality.

Good luck. You're really going to need it. As Reagan said "Facts are stubborn things".

Your nice warm fuzzy "Let's Talk About Our Feelings" net isn't here and isn't going to be. Not now, not ever in a free country. That's why I think you might enjoy Russia. Or North Korea or Saudi Arabia. Net access is carefully monitored and controlled by the government in Saudi. You might like that.

Oh. I'm not a Nazi or a neoNazi or a Zionist. I think large parts of the Patriot Act are unconstitutional. I think we're lucky John Ashcroft wasn't a worse disaster than he was. (Although Janet Reno was certainly no winner, was she?). I think the Iraq war was likely a mistake- -the evidence to support Admininistration claims was lacking even before the war. Maybe it will be worth it if a working democracy ends up in Iraq. But I wouldn't bet on that. I live in a blue state. I don't have an SUV and don't want one. President Bush? Did you know my choices weren't "Bush or anyone else on the planet", they were Bush and Kerry. Who did you vote for? No, I don't speak French. In personal encounters with French people I have found them to be more than kind and helpful. I despise their government. I short stocks. The last time I checked, it was legal. If it's made illegal, I will stop, but protest. I don't download music. I do copy and paste.

But that's OK; you can paint me with the same broad paintbrush you did everyone else here.

When you finally achieve your dream of a "Feelies" SI and their are only two members on it - X and Granny - you might want to look at this post and the the ones surrounding it on this thread. They might give you a clue as to what went wrong. But it will be way too late then.

If disagreeing with Admin is now a terminable offense, hit the button.

Meanwhile, for those interested, Yahoo is still in business.
I suggest these:
YAHOO.com/index.html
messages.yahoo.com
news.messages.yahoo.com
news.messages.yahoo.com
news.messages.yahoo.com
You'll find others.

I will hardly be the first to make that march. Other refugees are already there.

Membership is free; just register. You can have multiple aliases. Your registration info can be as accurate (or inaccurate) as you want. I'm the 2ndnerd over there. I've also got email gauss_karl@yahoo.net. Good ole "laura bush" AKA "bonehead" AKA bonnuss_in_austin is rrrrrrrrrrrambo (among many other aliases) on messages.yahoo.com
You can look for this post to show up on that thread shortly; Bonnie is sure to copy it.

And that old, old internet from 30 years ago is still out there and alive and well and active. PM or email me about it.

Oh, forgot something. When you get in arguin' and brawlin' and scrappin' with the boys (and gals), there seems to be a general feeling that you should take those Admin brass knuckles off. What you did to Jewel was VERY badly received.
