I find it amusing anyone would take the CIA projections of something as complex as an economy seriously

I find it astonishing that after expressly stating that the CIA report had NOTHING - other than, at most, a tangential reference to the economy in Pakistan - to do with future economic projections, you choose to repeat the same assertion.

Let me make it simple: show me where in either posting it was SPECIFICALLY stated that the CIA report was projecting the future course of the economy in Pakistan.

Understanding is not about comprehending the English language.
Understanding is about applying critical thinking in the analysis of ideas

It appears that your capacity to both understand and comprehend is rather wanting! You may, in future, want to refer to a dictionary before you choose to indulge in semantics.

From Webster:

"UNDERSTAND, COMPREHEND, APPRECIATE mean to have a clear or complete idea of. UNDERSTAND and COMPREHEND are very often interchangeable. UNDERSTAND may, however, stress the fact of having attained a firm mental grasp of something <orders that were fully understood and promptly obeyed>. COMPREHEND may stress the process of coming to grips with something intellectually"
