Hey Dave, Would it be a violation of the TOU to tell an admin that he is being anal for removing happy face posts? I wasn't going to do that, I just would like some clarification on whether you would consider that a violation or simply a statement of fact.

Who characterized RDW's post as "whining"? And when did you agree that some moderated threads had turned into petty fiefdoms?

I happen to agree with RDW's post. You may remember I argued against the re-introduction of moderated threads on the new site- -and was overruled by Admin. And I did it for precisely the reasons she cites- -that they allow the building of petty fiefdoms. One solution to the current problems- -or at least a lot of them- -would be the elimination of moderstion. I would go along with RDW in allowing am Admin exception.

But a large part of the problem as I see it is this: They complain about the fact that the very people they have intentionally excluded still get to comment and dissect their posts. Casting into outer darkness no longer seems to work.

As far as the 1996-8 posts are concerned, Heqq, Dave, Granny wrote them, not Yaacov, I, or anyone else. And, it seems, you have a problem with their resurrections, yet refuse to take steps to see that they can't be.
