08:34 BRCM Broadcom: Upside to estimates is likely in the near-term - Merrill Lynch (30.01 )

Merrill Lynch notes that last night BRCM customer DISH (10% of BRCM sales) filed its 10-K, and after four consecutive quarters of sequential growth, DISH's inventories declined 30% sequentially on an absolute basis. While firm doesn't expect a sharp snapback in BRCM's satellite STB IC orders, the magnitude of the inventory reduction at DISH suggests that some upside to our estimates is likely in the near-term.

Europe is the reason the US exports are so slow.
