sketch, What you miss is that the big cars are a niche where Detroit makes money. The solution is multifaceted. The more small cars are implemented the worse Detroit will do. They have lost that niche. It will be interesting to watch. Steel and airlines have solved the problem by restructuring via bankruptcy. I wonder what will happen to the auto companies in the next recession. Think about it - if GM cannot prosper now -?????????
