Strangely, some long-term couples don't want to have any legal bonds between them. The reasons range from fear that marriage would spoil the romance, to fear of commitment, to fear of jinxing what is a good thing, and I'm sure some other fears or beliefs as well. Twenty-seven years is a long time! Good for them. I wonder who at Feelies has been married the longest to the same person. I know it isn't me--I've only been married for 24 years (which is of course still quite awhile).
