steve,

Re: you convinced me. America sucks. Where's the best country to go? And you're already there right???

That's great, you've made the first step. Actually you are in the best country on the planet (assuming you're in the good ol' USA) only the nation has been hijacked by a bunch of blithering idiots who like to lie way too much.

As an antidote to the insanity that the little boy king in White House projects as his birthright, I recommend some adult fare such as Thom Hartmann, who declares that we need a "radical middle" to take back our nation from the fascists:

thomhartmann.com

You can catch the show at Noon ET, or listen to the archives to catch a flavor of it.

I find Thom's deep intellectual understanding of the history of this nation to be a huge antidote to the grumpy, frumpy fraudulent folderol that Rush Limbaugh blasphemes across the nation every day. And Thom actually makes Al Franken look like, well, someone who should be on TV, the original boob tube.

Try some Thom, you might find that we aren't actually all that far apart.... except for the number of life sentences I feel that George Bush should be convicted to for his crimes against you, me and the rest of humanity.

Remember, America does not suck, but George Bush certainly does, and so do the pack of thieving bribers he's surrounded himself with.

The Nazis understood that average people love to be lied to. So the Nazis lied to them and everything went great until the idiots in Germany destroyed themselves.

The following was written in 1920, but it could have been written yesterday:

"The larger the mob, the harder the test. In small areas, before small electorates, a first-rate man occasionally fights his way through, carrying even the mob with him by force of his personality. But when the field is nationwide, and the fight must be waged chiefly at second and third hand, and the force of personality cannot so readily make itself felt, then all the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre - the man who can most easily adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum. The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H.L. Mencken snopes.com

"DADDY-O, ARE WE THERE YET?"
