It does sound as though they were trying to make it appear the man walks on water, but started sinking. So he is a left over hippie who discovered the errors of his ways, and that makes him a great American, why? He is giving away free admission to Harvard to anyone too lazy to work for it or pay for it..and as middle America or "fly over country"....do I care? No. we all struggle along to send our kids to State Schools..Oh shudder, the poor children of the Red States...
