Some think so, and that is why the 2nd Amendment is important. "then we can take away guns to protect the public." Someone needs to prove they do more harm than good. Not France. If you think a prosecuter will not go after you for killing someone you are more of an idiot than I thought. You obviously do not know what you are talking about when you say it is legal to kill in America because you think you are in danger. It is legal to kill (in many cases) when you ARE in danger. If the prosecuter does not feel you were in danger, but you thought you were, he will prosecute you. I know it is easier to hold your position when you are dishonest about the reasons. They still have rights. If they think they don't (as you appear to believe) then they are wrong. Plenty of idiots out there. Doesn't surprise me that some use your "logic".
