I saw and heard Rod Paige in person. He slurred his words, had trouble with an English sentence, had trouble making his point. A lot like the guy who appointed him. Your standards are obviously lower than mine as to competence. Oh, one more thing....Rod thought that the best way to advance his programs was to pay off commentators for publicly advocating his views and to invite him and similarly minded folks to their shows. At least, that was what the White House said when confronted with the charge, they blamed it on the Dept of Education, and next thing you knew, Rod Paige had resigned.

Now why don't you go study the learned opinions of Clarence Thomas and let me know how high on the competency scale this fine Republican appointee is for you (oh, and yes, I understand he's black...so what?).
