I don't know where Yaacov purportedly said that, but I'll respond to a couple of the points with which you apparently agree. >>You provide a platform for subversive elements to whip-up anti-Israeli feelings; sooner or later some fool will take Duan Haung, Gus, and Len's rubbish as real stuff and will go on a rampage killing Jews. I have seen this in the past. The RayDonBillyBobs believe that all SI'ers who support the Patriot Act, Homeland Security, President Bush, and everyone who lives in a Red State, those who short stocks, work for brokerage houses, speak French, drive SUV's which enrich the Saudi's and therefore terrorists, and download music (or support the artists by actually paying for music and movies) are all traitors and subversives, inviting terrorism and leading our country to civil war, and the blood of millions will be on their hands. Therefore, they should be summarily wiped from the face of the planet, and the ground on which they stand should be sterilized. Twice. Naturally, the members falling into any of the above categories "don't have nothing to say, the have no valid opinions, they copy and paste," etcetera and so on and such forth. So, shall I infer from your agreement with Yaacov that the RayDonBillyBobs should prevail and terminate all of people from the site they have determined as not deserving the ability to post their opinions? After all, they believe it's those members supporting the policies and activities above who will ultimately cause revocation of habeas corpus, not to mention causing Armageddon. The irony is that I abhor the content Yaacov cites as much as he does, but that doesn't factor in to my role; at least, it isn't supposed to. Nor should it when some future admin feels the same was as the RayDonBillyBobs and very badly wants to boot their antagonists from the site. Of course, the whole kit and caboodle fits very nicely into my view of the nature of the "Political" threads in general... but there's no need to reopen that can of worms right now.
