I saw this on another SI thread about a year ago. I personally called Sir Scott's Oasis Steakhouse.......the number is real......and talked to one of the waitresses. She told me that this did not happen. That Fonda and Turner did frequently come in to eat (when they were still married) but were always very polite and waited their turn just like anyone else.
