Hi Jay,

Do you think that Washington can see the road ahead, and that is the reason behind inserting Neo-con Wolfowitz into the World Bank? From our point of view the record on Iraq is abysmal but perhaps from the White House it wasn't really as much an issue that the troop presence is larger now or that Iraq's oil revenues do not cover costs, there was another objective, and Wolfowitz filled it.

Could there be an objective here also. The World Bank has 130m ounces of gold. Perhaps it will be sold to the US? The US will 'goldize' their dollars? This way they can print the dollars they need to buy the gold, and then turn around and tell everyone they are moving to a partially gold-backed USD in case trouble arises?

If they can pull it off, it will be clever.
