I estimate Sparky the Spinone Italiano was about 6 years old when he found us on that Christmas day, and he lived for almost two more years... So he died prematurely, but it was amazing he lived to about 8 with all the seizures he had... And he wanted to live with us a lot more, but in the end he could not get up and walk. They are an "ancient" breed who almost disappeared by the 1950s due to sloppy breeding practices, but now they are back in the dog shows. :)
