LOL...me either! Not in Jim McDermott's, Patty Murray's, nor Maria Cantwell's Seattle. What a trio....

Michelle Malkin's piece prompted me to call WSHS this morning. (They are having a teacher's in-service day today, so I actually got to talk to someone in person)...
Also called Nadine Gulit of Operation Support Our Troops!

Re WSHS....The anti-war "extra cirricular" group was suppporting the assembly. The presentation was to be 3 speakers on each side of the question, no questions taken. There was not to be anything else for the "assembly"... BUT one or two of the students in the anti-war group knew of the "theater group" and it was these folks who were all over the stage as the kids were coming in to the assembly. The woman I spoke to said the kids did not hear any of the speeches, and the entire thing ended up being cancelled. (See Ms. Gulit's comments)

I questioned what the advisor (evidently there are two for this group...) was...did he or she NOT know of the kids plans? No good answer here...

I did request info on the History courses, and they will send it to me.

Gal was quite nice on the phone.

Then because of Michelle's article, I looked up Operation Support Our Troops...

She was proud that at 72 years old, now with Grandsons in the Military, that she felt she could "serve along with them"....Excellent web siteI I told her....Her daughter operates it.

I told Nadine that I was "just a concerned citizen, as was actually surprised to get her directly"... Her phone rings off the hook, and has been interviewed a few times so far. She and I talked about 10 minutes, and she told the others she would return the calls.

Nadine did tell me that WSHS did close the assembly down, but not until most of the students had arrived to the assembly hall, and had seen what these 'theatrical folks' were doing.

Thank goodness the representative of Operation Support Our Troops went to the Principal and School Board, and had the plug pulled on this event.

I will say personally that I hope she is going to be all right...There seem to be many people out there who seem to want to shut not only the Military down, but the people who support them. My thoughts, not hers.
