baseball is pathetic. it is lower than wrestling, where at least they are honest. all baseball hitting records since the 1990s are meaningless. ESPN should drop coverage of football and baseball and focus on real sports with real athletes, like tennis.

that, or ESPN should give equal coverage to pro wrestling. i have more respect for Hulk Hogan and The Rock than i do for Mark McGwire and Barry Bonds.

I remember attending a game in the Kingdome (blown up years ago) around 1992 or so when their was a loud, derisive chant, "Staaaaaare -- Oooooiid" directed at the massively bulked up Canseco -- it was the year he returned from October 40 pounds heavier, and it wasn't fat. Steroid use has been obvious to the public for well over a decade. MLB and Congress are both duplicitous in their use and have profited handsomely.
