I am no fan of Henry Waxman, even though I am fairly liberal usually.

I have studied up on starvation, though, and medical withdrawal of food seems to actually be a painless death from what I've read so far. Does anyone have different information?

This is what animals and humans do instinctively when they know it is their time to die. They just stop eating. Dogs and cats go find a quiet place away from everything to do it.

Festus, I agree with you. However, where is the federal interest?

This is not a matter Congress should be involved with.

I'm usually conservative, but I can understand the frustration some democrats might feel when liberal judges stir up trouble for them. This reminds me a little of the Massachusetts supremes making gay marriage an issue a year before a presidential election.
