Hannity had a husband and wife today on the radio telling of their experience when she, as a young, physically inshape, woman had a stroke, and was in the same condition as Terri for 70 days! She said that she could hear some of what was happening, but COULD NOT get out of her body to tell anyone she was alive INSIDE her body..... The only reason she is alive today is that her husband insisted they do what they could do, and keep her with a feeding tube during that time. The med staff said he was wrong...that she couldn't move her finger...but eventually she blinked...and eventually someone else but her hubby saw it as well.

Perhaps the segment will be on tonight or again this weekend.

I can not even imagine how horrifying it would be to be trapped inside your body, when you knew you were still alive.

The book I linked earlier, "Hard Choices for Loving People," goes into a lot of detail about the various choices that need to be made for advanced medical directives.

For those needing a living will...
there is a wonderful booklet called "Five Wishes" that offers excellent explanations and suggestions for all choices. It comes with easy to understand legal forms, making it very easy to do. I used it several years ago.
