<< zonkie, I don't know why Americans don't see what's going on around them. >>

I think over 50% of them do. Maybe even a lot more but some are so set in their ways and have been programmed to hate or reject anything that one of the right wingers label as being liberal. I doubt if more than 10 or 15% of the public is what I would call a liberal but if you believe the right wingers here at SI all of the media and most of the people are and they think they must fight them to their death.

I don't think junior won the election in 2000 or 2004. Something has to be done about allowing the republicans to count the votes before 2006.

The redistricting they have done in a bunch of states needs to be turned back in some fair way too. The general public needs to be involved in that instead of just letting whoever has the most votes at any certain time drawing lines which favor their party unfairly.

And now Bush wants to keep alive a woman who has been braindead for 15 years. SOmeone he never knew but he thinks he knows best.

I think that she should be allowed to die so that her family can move on with their lives............if it was me, that is what I would want.

15 years is too long..........it's time her family faced reality and moved on with their lives...........let the poor woman rest in peace and stop being used as a political piece for some politicians who haven't ever cared a hoot about her welfare.

Congress is acting shamefully!!! It's starting to remind me of the Elian Gonzalez debacle.
