"The New Left. For democracy only in places that have it already." you think their plan is really for democracy in existing places or is it PC uber alles after all. You cant really be for democracy when you post the vile stuff that comes from winn and scott or from extremists on the right for that matter. Now we wait for both win and scott to come back and tell us they are really the true conservatives. They love to talk about deficits and tax cuts but never about deficits and spending cuts. Did you notice? Meanwhile as an aside, bush team has been very slow so far this year in tackling what now is becoming a big problem--the deficit. As i said at election time, the Bush eco plan + greenspan rescued us from a post 9/11 depression. Now, it is becoming something that can cause a future crisis. SS reform should be left to a bipartisan commission to deal with. Bush will be wasting time pushing it any longer. He made his point. The populace says more info please--so lets get George Mitchel or Sam Nunn and Newt too to head a commssion. And then lets make most of the tax cuts permanent or have genuine tax reform and cut spending by eliminating the fat, not the muscle. I know, i know all are herculean tasks but not impossible and required by the situation we are in. We worry about our grandkids SS but we should also worry about not leaving them a depression. Mike
