Your chart:
themarketwind.com

activity ~3/7 kills that fork.

The fork that I've been trying to show would have:

the high ~1/1/05 would be the start of the center tine.
upper would be the high ~3/7/05
lower would start on the low of 1/24

Could you please try to chart that one? I don't have anything that will do that chart.

thanks
Gersh

Mighty creative way to show a double bottom <g>.

Reid, thanks for providing all the valuable information you share. This thread has helped expand and grow my understanding of TA.

Question for you and Terry: I'm not an e-waver(never took the time to understand it), but do you guys ever use e-wave analysis? Does it have any real merit to you?

Thanks,
J.K.

It looks like that center tine intersects 35 about 4 weeks from now.

That means the $34.93 level is probably about 5 weeks away, which agrees pretty well with the time frame and reveral points I outlined for reversal of this medium-term correction:

Hi Reid,

The candle that formed this week suggests next week we will see more downside. The technicals are consistent with that also.

139.142.147.218

That said, we are getting pretty oversold here, and the selling has been somewhat overdone. So, I think next week's candle will be down on the week, but still we will see some upside relief.

I figure we have about 4 to 6 weeks more before this medium-term correction has exhausted itself. That time frame accords well with Gersh's forks as well, and also with the intersection between the medium-term (15 week) and long-term (129 week) regression channels:

Reversal in QQQQ now looks likely in 4 - 6 weeks at just under $35, but I don't think it will be obvious. QQQQ will most likely not form a V-bottom reversal, but will instead meander sideways and rather slowly upwards as the $SOX continues down. A strong uptrend in QQQQ will have to await the reversal of the $SOX, which looks like it will occur in about 8 - 10 weeks:

But in the $SOX chart above, if the $SOX reverses at the first of the three possible reversal levels (the red one; unlikely, IMHO), then that will just about coincide with the projected time of reversal of QQQQ. If that occurs, then the reversal in QQQQ will look more like a V-bottom, and the subsequent move up from there will be powerful.

....all IMHO.
