Gottfried,

Thanks for posting the link (on AMAT thread) to the story on how people are starting to do more with text on their mobiles (everything from reading novels, to SAT test prep, to studying foreign languages) story.news.yahoo.com. I believe that Synaptics investors should carefully monitor this transition, which should be at least as important as the introduction of cameras into mobiles, as the smooth navigation of text, whether through a scroll wheel like device or perhaps an adjustable automatic scrolling mechanism, is essential to make such reading a pleasurable pursuit. Synaptics' role should be to improve the functionality and ergonomics of the mobile as it evolves, even as it takes the company into new areas, such as voice recognition and synthesis.

Sam

Gottfried, Thanks for the TMF link.

“Why Bear Stearns would make seemingly unsubstantiated claims is unclear...”

Can’t argue with that and perhaps the TMF folks could suggest that the regulators pursue such action.
