No one disagrees, I don't think... OTOH, when was that?? Not much has happend since! LOL, in fact the profound ignorance of what health is REALLY all about partly due to reliance on "modern medicine" to cure everything has been incredibly damaging!! There is a very dangerous mindset prevailing due at least in part to the single minded focus on "curing the disease" and not "dealing with the cause".

i think you know what i meant. For those inside the field, santitation etc are the domain of public health, not "medicine". You are of course correct that without the contribution of folks like Semelweiss, we wouldnt have had such improvements.
