I'm not really sure what we're talking about, because I think we basically agree on environmental issues. However you want to classify the the value of stopping the destruction of the rain forest (stopping global warming or stopping contributions to global warming), I think it is important to do so. I did post a scientific article here about how no matter what we do not, it will simply possibly mitigate but not stop global warming. But I think it is important to do everything we can.
