H,

I do comprehend what I read and hold to my own beliefs, but I do apologize for unloading on you.

All these comments about religious nuts and evangelicals is pretty disturbing and is a way of masking real issues. Her parents disagree vehemently with the husband and no living will exits.

Will she ever be the same? or even independent? Certainly not, but guess what - we normally don't starve people and the term brain dead was originally applied to comotose patients who also needed assistance breathing.

My lawyer doesn't think a living will would even apply in this case - although it may have at the beginning. She is now otherwise healthy and lots of institutions have patients with extremely low brain function.
