Where are the morals in a big Federal Government over-riding an individual's wishes about end-of-life?

Who's trying to make it a political issue?

"ABC News obtained talking points circulated among Senate Republicans explaining why they should vote to intervene in the Schiavo case. Among them, that it is an important moral issue and the "pro-life base will be excited," and that it is a "great political issue -- this is a tough issue for Democrats."

Isn't it strange we have one prisoner on suicide watch trying to make sure he won't kill himself, and then we have this poor woman whose husband spent all the money meant for her rehabilitation and now is making sure he will kill her this time?

Then we have Scott Peterson in Prison for killing his wife and unborn child and a father on tv crying because an animal killed his precious baby girl...

Does anyone but me see any hypocrisy in all of this?
