I've talked before about how my mom went to the Moody Bible institute and taught in Xtian colleges before she lost her faith. Several of her best friends were missionaries. It made my mother NUTS when some of her Christian friends from the old days got super wealthy, and, contrary to scripture, super greedy- and wore diamonds, and failed to care about the poor. My mom may not have been technically religious, but she shared a lot of the same concerns as Jesus.
