Never once have I seen the man in the public spotlight........if he's like me, it must be almost terrifying for him to see the focus this case has gotten. But don't you think it plays to the heart of what is dividing this country? Isn't that why its gotten the intervention of a GOP governor and GOP congressional whip? Part of it is, this is a "local story", not 10 miles away. So I've seen <avoided> media coverage for many, many years. I have no clue who is right, and I wouldn't presume to make that decision. And I really pity any judge who has to get in the middle. It's a nightmare situation, and I am seriously disturbed by the ghoulish fascination by the press and the public. And the politicians who are making hay should be taken out and shot. Especially the "Christian" politicians who are making this an issue that it isn't. Bottom line is that it's none of our fucking business. By talking about we are doing damage to real people, who have a life ahead of them. For the press and the politicians and the people, it's an intellectual exercise. To the poor folks that care about this poor woman, it's the critical moment of their lives. John
