Much less. If the cerebral cortex has decayed, then she might respond to being poked with something sharp, or to heat or cold, but there isn't going to be anything like coordinated action. Decorticated mammals aren't functional. They can do things like sit or lay down, but they don't eat or do anything that requires stringing together of several actions.


Its too bad young girls don't fully understand that consequences of Bulimia.

DOHA (Reuters) - A car bomb killed one Briton and wounded at least 12 people on Saturday at a theater frequented by Westerners in Qatar, the command center for the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq which began exactly two years ago.

"The explosion was caused by a rigged car. One person was killed and 12 were wounded, of whom 10 have left hospital," the Interior Ministry said in a statement carried on the state news agency QNA.

U.S. Congress Agrees on Compromise Bill in Terri Schiavo Case

March 19 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Congress said it has agreed on legislation that could save the life of Terri Schiavo, a brain- damaged Florida woman whose feeding tube was removed yesterday.

Lawmakers, who will meet tomorrow, said they have bipartisan legislation that would move the matter into the federal courts from state court in Florida, allowing for further legal challenges.

``We think we have found a solution,'' said House Majority Leader Tom DeLay, a Republican, today. ``It is very similar to the bill passed in the Senate Thursday, with some modifications.''
