I watch Law and Order on TV a lot. It's one of the best dramas on TV, but one thing that bothers me is that their plots are very severe with people who eliminate scumbags that were ruining their life and killing their loved ones, and who did not get justice by going through the system.

On Law and Order, there's no such thing as justifiable homicide. On some level, I think there is.

I'm not a staunch supporter of the death penalty, but there's something perverse about putting a suicide watch on a scumbag who's been arrested 37 times, is a registered sex-offender, and a murderer of an innocent child.

Yes, there is inconsistency, but be careful, these are entirely different individuals and we are being trained by the media (not intentionally) to focus on and overreact to the "trees" at the expense of perceiving the "forest".
