I have a friend that had a mild heart attack a couple of years ago. He would smoke in the hospital bathroom. He's tried to quit and used patches, gum, wellbutrin, and hypnosis. I tried Schick a long time ago.

Maybe it's a crazy idea, but I've thought the government should regulate the nicotine in cigarettes the same as car emissions. Tell the tobacco companies to reduce the nicotine in cigarettes by 10% every year and in 10 years cigarettes will be nicotine free. Them stupid holes in cigarette filters wouldn't qualify either. Make them take the nicotine out of the tobacco and if they say they can't do it, just tell them that's their problem.

I think people are edgiest when they need to smoke and cannot immediately (for whatever reason). So eventually everyone might be mellower. How is the Washington prison system thinking it is working so far?
