Scott,

Re: GOP runs amok on Shiavo intervention --

Hopefully the GOP right-to-life hysterics are shooting themselves in the head on this Schiavo cause celebre.

I've read here on SI that in a recent CNN poll, the GOP's lunacy is only being supported by 1 of 6 respondents to the question of Congressional interference. Apparently Karl Rove was out of the loop when the inmates took over the asylum.

Scott,

This is a huuuuuge story...never before on our nation's history have we seen such a blatant assault on the separation of powers. If this legislation is allowed to stand as constitutional, forget checks and balances as we have known them for over 200 years.

And the prognosis that the good Dr Frist gave after viewing a video tape (a VIDEO TAPE!!!) proclaiming her sentient...unbelievable.

Did you see the insider GOP memo that called this a good political issue, one that would excite the pro-life GOP base and prove difficult for the Dems?

The hypocrisy and over-reaching of the Far Right oligarchy is breath-taking.
