Well, there are some scary things going on, but if you are as worried as you say, at least you can take solace in the fact that we only have 4 more years of this.

How do you know that? All it takes is to a change in the law that determines how long a president can remain in office. The Congress is controlled by the GOP. Many people keep thinking this is business as usual. I don' think it is. We handed Bush the presidency and Congress on a silver platter. And Congress is acting with impunity. I remain very worried.

True, but he's breaking so much, and undoing so much of the good, hard work from the prior administration.

On a different note, do you know anyone that would want to be on Medicare? Meanwhile, you've got people willing to pay their own premiums thru private insurance, but can't. The problem with this country, is Congress lets private insurance companies cherry pick their clients, which simply dumps more people onto the govt and increases the debt - is this logical? Of course not. There are people who would gladly pay for private insurance rather than use medicare.

And then you have this gimmick here:

Message 21146346
"where is the info about non-renewable? i have not heard of that. maybe (hopefully) they can't do that in TX. what's the point in having insurance if they can dump you when you need it most?"

A perfect example of a hard-working soul wanting to pay his own health care insurance, only to find that they can cherry pick him out or non-renew his contract.

Why does Congress allow that to happen? It's fiscally foolish. Time for a new group of people in Congress to clean this up fiscally and ethically.
