Offhand, I'd say the "intellectually honest" people who called the uniformed military leadership "perfumed princes" are the ones with the insult/argument problem. But that's just me. My personal recollection is that pretty much everybody publicly visible who expressed any doubt about W's resolute march to the war he had to have in Iraq got hit by a smear campaign. Then there's Joe Wilson's wife, but I hear W has an OJ-style level of interest in finding the culprit on that one.
