Its funny that now that the NYTimes write a pro-admin story you refer to the news as doctored. But it has been that way from the beginning when all the news was filtered through the anti-bush bias of the liberal media and the pro-bush bias of stations like Fox. I am not reading commentary. It just seems to me that there are enough less bad things happening on the ground that make the insurgency less apt to succeed. As a matter of fact if i were an insurgent, i would back off and wait for a better time later on to make a move, perhaps even after the US is gone. Why fight Uncle Sam when the new Uncle Fareed led regime may end up being divided and inept and without the ability to project its power which is at least one thing the US is able to do. I still think that we are heading toward three states with border disputes. Nothing that has happened encourages me that the Iraqi version of Yugoslavia will end up any better than the original. Mike
