Federal functionaries of Big Brother get to over-ride any State or local court decision, and insert themselves into the most sensitive and personal areas of private life. If they have to over-turn 500+ years of marriage tradition, all common law precedents going back through history, to achieve their Theocratic goals... then it's 'goodbye marriage' because nothing else apparently matters to them other then replacing Democracy with a Theocracy, enforced by federal goons.
