Just like a phonograph needle tracks towards the center, the world will become more democratic. It happens because it's the natural progression as invented by the Greeks, and then later fashioned into a Constitution by our founding fathers. The democratic system then adopted country by country over the world, until today it is the dominant system in the world. Even giant communist China is making inroads.

And so we expect that even in the Middle east that democracy will continue to move forward. Bush deserves no credit for the march of democracy. It's been happening before he traded in a bottle for a Bible...and it will continue to happen.

If a headline asks the question...they're just trying to sell newspapers. That's the editor's job, and they know how much everyone hates Bush...so that headline will sell papers, but it proves nothing with regard to crediting Bush for democracy.
