No one read the Patriot Act. It had three versions. The first two were adopted after having been coalesced. The Ashcroft one had been rejected. At 3 am. the faxing of the bill was done. I think it was over 400 pages. It was brought to a vote without the law makers being cognizant that the Ashcroft Bill had been inserted and since no one read the bill it passed. So don't tell me that is was passed on intelligent information. It was passed in panic,fear and the feeling that if one did not vote for it one was not patriotic. Do you think that the figures are published for those who have been hurt by the Patriot Act ? Yeah on the front pages so you can take swipes at our government. You are naive to think that stringent rules that this act contains have not hurt people. Maybe not you or me. However, you are on the right side and I am not so I would get hurt first.
