>Jericho was handed over last week

But it wasn't, really...

One of my best friends from high school went on to be a religious Zionist nutcase and actually leads two settlements in the West Bank, one of which is in Jericho. He says his settlement continues to grow -- I spoke to him on Instant Messenger this afternoon.

Debka is saying essentially the same thing. So is this article:

news.independent.co.uk

In addition, Debka is upset about comments Bush made re. the border........the 1949 Armistice lines vs pre 1967 green line location. I got a headache trying to figure out exactly the problem. You can read about it in the article below.

There seem to be some many points of contention and so much accumulated minutia........I just don't see how they will ever settle this thing. It seems there are deal points upon deal points at stake here.

NK is heating up as well:

First from Debka:

"North Korea says it has boosted its nuclear arsenal to prevent US attack and is preparing full military mobilization against any provocative enemy moves – Pyongyang’s rejoinder to Rice statement in Beijing."

And then the latest news:

N. Korea Says It Won't Beg for Talks; U.S. Wants Deadlock Ended

"U.S. military exercise taking place with South Korea are increasing the danger of war, the Korean Central News Agency said yesterday, citing a commentary by the Rodong Sinmun newspaper.

``The prevailing situation is so dangerous and tense that any accidental case may spark an all-out war,'' the report said. "
